Meet our Founder, Alex Blake

Diamonds have been part of my life for many years. In fact, I used to mine them in remote parts of Northern Canada.

Over a 20 year engineering career that has taken me across the world, from north of the Arctic Circle to South Africa, England, Indonesia, and now Australia, I was humbled to hear many extraordinary yet unwritten stories of brilliance, inner strength and hope.

A desire to bring these stories into the world was born, and now I use my editing skills and love of words to bring creativity, empathy and structure to the experience of writing a book.

Inspired to create when I’m climbing mountains or hiking in the local Australian bush, I delight in watching my two young boys run ahead on the trail, squealing with excitement at the discovery of a new treasure.

Currently I am living in Brisbane and run Diamond Stories, an editing and book creation business, where I get to meet aspiring authors every day and guide them on a powerful inner journey and transformative process.

A writer, writing coach and editor of 15 international bestselling books, my unique ability to hear someone’s story for the first time and instantly organise it on the page, keeps authors returning to us again and again.
